I’m thrilled to announce that I will once again be part of Painting with Fire Volume 5—a prestigious

year-long online encaustic masterclass for 2025/26, presented by Essence of Mulranny. After a wonderful experience teaching at Mulranny Arts in Ireland, I am honoured to join some of the world’s top encaustic artists for this inspiring journey. As an artist deeply connected to the natural world, encaustic painting allows me to capture the landscapes and textures that inspire me. Throughout the year, I’ll be sharing my unique techniques and approaches alongside other talented artists, helping you explore new ideas and develop confidence in your creative process. Whether you’re a complete beginner or an experienced encaustic artist looking to expand your skills, this masterclass offers something for everyone.

Last year’s feedback was incredible, and I cannot wait to release this year’s videos for you to enjoy!

About Melanie (Mel) Williams

I am an encaustic artist deeply inspired by the natural world, using molten wax to create atmospheric landscapes full of depth and movement. My approach embraces spontaneity, layering, and organic imperfections, allowing each piece to evolve naturally. If you’re not yet familiar with my work, you’ll quickly discover my passion for experimentation and my ability to create emotion and texture through wax and pigment, making each painting a unique expression of my artistic vision.

I love sharing my techniques through both in-person and online teaching, including as an instructor for Painting with Fire, a renowned encaustic masterclass. My work has been featured in magazines, books, TV, and radio, highlighting my distinctive approach to encaustic painting. Whether through my art or teaching, I strive to inspire others to explore the expressive, unpredictable beauty of working with wax.
