Yesterday I took part in the ‘Art in Bodnant Gardens’ event organised by Art North Wales. There were 16 artists taking part and we were dotted around the gardens. With it being October I was well and truly dressed for the occasion in fleecy trousers and layers galore. In the end we were blessed with a super sunny day. Trying to do an encaustic demonstration was very challenging though as my gas kept blowing out and so setting the encaustic paint. I was amazed at how many bees visited me during the day - quite a few sitting on my arm whilst I painted. The children were fascinated more by the bees than the painting! A lovely afternoon spent in the sunshine and gorgeous surroundings.
I have some new artwork on the website and in Artworks 2 at Betws y Coed. I’ve been experimenting with copper and gold!
